Note that you are on your own (and your lab partner if you have one) for this lab.

20 November 2023:

Lab 9 tasks has been posted. This lab has deliverables to be submitted and marked. The due date of the lab deliverables (except the in-lab tasks) is noon, 5 December 2023.

7 November 2023:

Lab 8 tasks has been posted. This lab has deliverables to be submitted and marked. The due date of the lab deliverables (except the in-lab tasks) is noon, 28 November 2023.

31 October 2023:

Lab 7 tasks has been posted. This lab has deliverables to be submitted and marked. The due date of the lab deliverables (except the in-lab tasks) is noon, 14 November 2023.

17 October 2023:

Lab 6 supplement notes: For your magnitude comparator, there must be 3 output displays. First one for (A = B), second one for (A > B) and the third one for (A < B). You can decide whether to use (LED on) to represent positive result or negative result, but you must use it consistently in your pre-lab preparation and document your decision in your lab report.

16 October 2023:

3 October 2023:

Lab 5 tasks has been posted. This lab has deliverables to be submitted and marked. The due date of the lab deliverables (except the in-lab tasks) is noon, 17 October 2023.

27 September 2023:

Midterm is tentatively scheduled to take place in class on 18 October 2023, Wednesday.

26 September 2023:

Lab 4 tasks has been posted. This lab has deliverables to be submitted and marked. The due date of the lab deliverables (except the in-lab tasks) is noon, 10 October 2023.

This lab has substantial pre-lab preparations to be done before the lab date (Tuesday, October 3rd). You will not be allowed to do In-Lab tasks if your pre-lab preparation is not approved. And you'll need to find a lab partner to perform some of the lab tasks.

Welcome to CSCI 355, Digital Logic and Computer Organization Our first lecture starts at 10:00, Wednesday, 6 September 2023, in Building 210/Room 240. The first lab will be held in Building 315/Room 115 on
14:30 - 16:30, Tuesday, 12 September 2023 for Section F23N01,
16:30 - 18:30, Tuesday, 12 September 2023 for Section F23N02.

It is important for everyone to attend the first lecture due to VIU's No-Show policy. It is important for everyone to attend all lectures and labs anyway. If, for any reason, you can not attend the first lecture session, please notify the instructor (Huizhu.Liu@viu.ca) ASAP.
