CSCI 375 Team project: risk analysis and management plan

Deadline

These deliverables are due by the start of the lecture session on February 15th.

Document name

The document must be named RiskAnalysis.odt and must be located in the Documents directory of your team git repository.

Document overview

Provide a short (2-3 paragraph) outline of the content of this document.

Project update

Provide an update on the state of the project, clearly identifying any changes to the planned product/features/interface.

Project plan update

Provide an update on the project plan, noting any key changes (new/expanded tasks, task assignments, task completions) and an updated version of the software development plan (the chart/table created as part of the Management plan).

Risk framework

Provide a description of your risk analysis framework, complete with at least the following:

• An overview of your risk analysis framework.
• A description of risks covered by your framework.
• The table showing your risk analysis framework: categorizing the nature, probability, and severity of the risks covered.
• Identify the risks the team has decided to track/manage, and the basis for choosing that set of risks.

Risk plans

Provide a description of your risk management plans, complete with at least the following:

• An overview of your risk management plan.
• Your plans for monitoring the risks the team has chosen to track/manage.
• Your plans for avoiding the risks the team has chosen to track/manage.
• Your plans for mitigating the damage associated with the risks the team has chosen to track/manage.
• Your contingency plans for dealing with the occurence of the risks the team has chosen to track/manage.
• A summary of your risk management plans.

Team presentation

In the lab session of Februrary 6th, each team will provide a short (10-15 minute) presentation summarizing the information in the document described above.
